World's largest convoy of hybrid, advanced vehicles quietly roared Into Dearborn, Michigan to mark ten successful years of advancing the commercialization of green vehicle technology. The Hybrid Truck Users Forum (HTUF) has brought its 2010 HTUF National Conference and Ride and Drive back to its roots: the Motor City.
Operated by CALSTART under contract to the U.S. Army, the HTUF conference tooks place Sept. 28-30, 2010, in Dearborn, MI. HTUF is the nation's leading program driving production and use of medium and heavy-duty hybrid and high-efficiency trucks and buses. It was founded by CALSTART and the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center's National Automotive Center.

"The Allianz 4000 Electric Hybrid is the current state-of-the-art in hybrid technology, and the HTUF Conference is the platform to help get the word out about this amazing piece of equipment."
The Allianz 4000 Electric Hybrid is fitted with a 120-kilowatt permanent magnet generator, 160-kilowatt induction drive motor, and 60-kilowatt electro-hydraulic drive unit for the brooms, with digital controls, and lithium ion batteries, all integrated by Allianz. “It is the most sophisticated hybrid drive available, and has the most potential for fuel savings,” Goodarzi says. “Actual measurement is over 41%… We are pushing the envelope.”Besides serving as the world's premier technical and marketplace event in the advanced truck world, HTUF 2010 features the world's largest medium and heavy-duty hybrid and high-efficiency vehicle ride-and-drive for fleets, attendees and the media. Leading-edge hybrid-electric, hybrid-hydraulic, plug-in hybrid and electric trucks will be available, including some brand new to the market.
